The Woodstock Residents’ Association AGM held on 25th April 2026 was a roaring success! We witnessed a community come together to discuss a common way forward on shared issues that affect everyone in our neighbourhood, and would like to extend our gratitude to everyone who showed up and voiced their opinions on making Woodstock thrive.

On the agenda for the day were two topics. The first was a discussion around the most pressing issues that affect the residents of Woodstock, and the communities’ thoughts on the characteristics of the incoming Ward Councillor.

On the issues affecting Woodstock, neighbours raised their voices about issues surrounding safety, transparency of information from local authorities, and also how the many different campaigns and initiatives in the vibrant community of Woodstock can be shared amongst neighbours.

Residents also shared their thoughts on what they would like to see in the incoming Ward Councillor – one that has the interest of the community at heart, and is able to foster a transparent and approachable relationship with members of the community.

Suggestions were noted, with the outcome enhancing the WRA 2026 Strategy, which builds on the four pillars of:

Community Building

Reclaiming Public Spaces

Inclusive Urban Development

Service Delivery.

The WRA 2026 AGM was extremely well attended, with over 50 participants present. We would like to thank our community members again for showing up for their neighbourhood, and taking an interest in the area they live, work and share in!

We would also like to extend our invitation to any members who reside in Woodstock to join the WRA if they have an initiative, suggestion, or concern that involves our community. The WRA is open to all residents, so it includes tenants and business practitioners, not just property and business owners.

If you have a project, suggestion, or issue that affects Woodstock, let us know via Facebook or email at [email protected]
